  1. Very pretty! I don't think Brooks was capable of taking a bad photo though. She looks like a shorty so checked and she was a 5'2, my height. She probably should have steered clear of dresses that cut her off at the ankle. Wonder if she stood next to Mary Pickford a lot to make herself appear taller? (Pickford 5'0)

    Most of the stars then (and now, actually) were/are pint-sized. Another thing I've noticed about old stars -- not including Brooks, but definitely Pickford -- was that they had HUGE heads, like lollipops. Crawford was another.

  3. p.s. You're right about that dress, I hadn't noticed but it makes her legs look strangely short. I think that waistline (?drop waist?) has something to do with it, too.
